Patient Services Manager (PSM) - Acute Care | Columbus, GA
We are seeking a service-focused Patient Services Manager to lead our Patient Services Team in an acute care hospital in Columbus, GA. This is a primarily Monday-Friday role, 7am - 4pm, with weekends and holidays shared in rotation with other managers.
This leader will oversee daily patient dining operations, ensure clinical diet compliance, and drive patient satisfaction while building and developing a strong frontline team. The PSM plays a direct role in elevating the patient experience and maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, hire, train, and develop patient services team members • Oversee implementation of patient food service programs based on medical direction and patient population • Ensure compliance with special and modified diets within clinical guidelines • Drive patient satisfaction and service excellence initiatives • Maintain compliance with federal, state accrediting agency, and HIPAA regulations • Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement programs
Qualifications:
• Associate degree with one year of food service experience or Bachelors degree in a related field • One year of food service management experience preferred, ideally in acute care • CDM, DTR, or RD preferred • ServSafe certification desirable • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EMR, and diet office systems
