    Patient Service Representative

    Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

    • Performs opening and closing clinic duties.
    • Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance.
    • Scans documents into electronic health record.
    • Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter throughout the day.
    • Checks schedules for added, canceled and no-show appointments throughout the day.
    • Schedules follow-up appointments as needed.
    • Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record.
    • Orders clinic office supplies.
    • Sells and tracks cosmetic products.
    • Prepares for next day scheduled appointments.

    Qualifications Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • 1-2 years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity is preferred.
    • Proficient in basic computer functions.
    • Ability to learn new software quickly.
    • Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
    • Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm is preferred.
    • Must possess attention to detail.
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
    • Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback and direction from supervisors.
    • Must demonstrate professional appearance and manner at all times.
    • Must display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor, and must be compassionate and caring in dealing with others.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
