Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Patient Service Representative II (PSR II) to support a fast-paced healthcare environment by providing high-level administrative and patient coordination support. The ideal candidate will have strong scheduling, insurance verification, patient registration, and customer service experience while ensuring excellent patient care and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of healthcare administrative experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong understanding of medical scheduling, insurance verification, and patient coordination
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient check-in/check-out, payment collection, and reconciliation
  • Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information within CS-Link/EMR systems
  • Coordinate complex scheduling, including provider visits, labs, EKG, echo, Zio, and specialty appointments
  • Handle referrals, authorizations, and insurance benefit verification
  • Monitor patient schedules, track no-shows, and assist with rescheduling
  • Manage provider calendars and communicate schedule changes to patients and staff
  • Support patient flow and act as liaison between patients and clinical teams
  • Answer high-volume phone calls, relay messages, and support operational workflows
  • Retrieve medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance
  • Participate in staff meetings, departmental huddles, and process improvement initiatives
  • Perform additional administrative and courier-related duties as assigned
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in a high-volume outpatient clinic or hospital setting
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and automated call distribution (ACD)
  • Strong organizational and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently
