Eye Doctors of Washington has an exciting career opportunity for a Medical Front Desk (Patient Service Representative II) in our Chevy Chase, MD practice office. Our top candidate will bring at least one year of medical front desk experience, preferably in an ophthalmology or optometry practice. Team members must have the ability to occasionally travel to our other offices in the DMV area to meet the demands of our business.

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) must have a minimum of three + years of continuous employment as a PSR and have achieved their Certified Patient Service Specialist (CPSS) certification. The PSR II will perform routine clerical and administrative work including greeting and assisting patients, insurance verification, management of appointment schedule and accurate record-keeping. The PSR has a significant role as you serve as the initial point of contact and make the first impression on all patients visiting the office. This is especially important in a medical environment where people may be apprehensive. Effective execution of this role will require the ability to multitask and respond to the needs of the patients and other staff efficiently and calmly. The PSR II may also be required to support training efforts of other front office staff as needed.
