Patient Service Representative I - Family Medicine
Granger Medical Clinic is seeking a friendly, professional, and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our Family Medicine team at our West Valley City/Fairbourne location. This full-time position plays a vital role in creating a positive patient experience and supporting the daily operations of our clinic.
The ideal candidate is confident, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional customer service. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will work closely with physicians, clinical staff, and fellow team members to ensure every patient receives outstanding care and support.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One to two years of medical receptionist or patient service representative experience preferred.
- Experience scheduling appointments in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Additional languages helpful - bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Professional and courteous phone etiquette.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and a commitment to patient care.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling and general inquiries.
- Schedule appointments according to established clinic procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and clinic staff regarding appointments and patient needs.
- Accurately collect and update patient demographic and insurance information.
- Assist with administrative and front-office duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Primarily sedentary work in a professional medical office environment.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
- Frequent use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment.
- Repetitive hand and wrist movements associated with data entry and office tasks.
- Indoor, climate-controlled work environment.
