Overview
Founded in 1921, Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics, and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawaii. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology, diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular, and urology.
Multidisciplinary Burn Treatment Center
Straub is home to the Pacific Regions only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawaii, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.
Dermatology Services
Our Dermatology team provides consultations and primary care to patients suffering from problems of the skin, hair, nails, and mouth. Using the latest diagnostic methods, our clinical dermatologists have a wide variety of tests at their disposal to determine the cause of skin problems and treat common dermatological conditions, such as acne to more complex problems, such as benign or malignant tumors. The departments highly trained staff can employ surgical interventions and other treatment plans using breakthrough technology and knowledge in the field.
Patient Service Representative
As a Patient Service Representative, you will help ensure that Straub patients and their families receive warm, friendly, and considerate assistance at Straub. You will act as a liaison between patients and the professional staff in our Dermatology department and assist with a variety of administrative tasks, including:
• Interviewing • Registering • Admitting • Updating and creating patients medical records • Performing accurate and timely processing of all professional and technical fees generated by department providers • Performing cash handling and collection
We are looking for someone sensitive and helpful with excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work effectively under minimal supervision, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality healthcare to Hawaiis people.

• High school or equivalent • One year of clerical support in a healthcare setting or related experience • Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Basic medical terminology • Experience with EPIC • International Classification of Diseases 10th edition (ICD-10) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding certification
