What You’ll Do

As the Patient Safety Specialist, you’ll serve as a key leader in developing and supporting initiatives that strengthen patient safety, reduce risk, and improve clinical outcomes across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, system-wide
  • Managing and enhancing safety event reporting processes and systems
  • Conducting root cause analyses and ensuring effective corrective action plans
  • Identifying trends through data analysis and implementing proactive prevention strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with CMS, accreditation, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve clinical workflows and patient outcomes
  • Providing education, coaching, and guidance on patient safety best practices
  • Supporting and promoting a strong culture of safety throughout the organization

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Nurse (RN) required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in patient safety, quality improvement, or clinical healthcare environments
  • Strong knowledge of CMS, DNV, and other regulatory/accreditation standards
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
  • Certification in Patient Safety (CPPS)certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 24 months)
