We are seeking a Patient Relations Specialist to join our team-someone who is passionate about patient advocacy, connection, and improving the care experience through empathy, collaboration, and thoughtful problem-solving.
Responsibilities Include:
Enhance Patient Care: Collaborate with leaders, providers and staff to identify and implement improvements in patient care and service delivery.
Patient Feedback: Conduct patient satisfaction surveys and analyze feedback to develop action plans for enhancing the patient experience.
Strategic Thinking: Applying system level thinking to your work, see the bigger picture, and help to create new champions for experience everywhere you go.
Human Connection & Empathy: Promote human connection and empathy in all patient interactions, ensuring that every patient feels heard and respected.
Trainings and Facilitations: Provide training and education to staff on the importance of human connection in healthcare and effective communication strategies.
What's Available?
1.0 FTE
Schedule: Typical hours Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with occasional needs to work outside of standard business hours.
Location: Onsite at our Front Street Office in La Crosse, WI
Compensation: Starting at $56,000/year, with opportunity for higher pay based on experience
What Will You Need?
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Human Services, Psychology, Healthcare, Nursing, etc.
Experience: 3-4 years experience in healthcare, customer service or related. Must have experience with direct patient care.
Experience with data analysis and reporting, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI
Strong comfortability with public speaking - ability to present to both small and large group settings; past experience with facilitating focus groups a plus!
Strong multi-tasking ability and interest in working on multiple projects at any given time
Previous experience in a healthcare setting, required
Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
