Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible for providing supervision of activities within Patient Placement • Ensuring that the activities of the Patient Placement staff are dedicated to managing patient flow within the health system as it relates to admitted patients
Qualifications: • SC RN license • ACLS certification • BSN degree • Masters degree preferred • At least five years of clinical experience required • Critical care experience preferred • Experience with computer systems including electronic order entry, bed status systems, and nursing documentation systems required • Experience in managing patient throughput or patient placement preferred • Must possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication, negotiation, and critical thinking skills • Ability to understand the global view of patient flow • Broad clinical knowledge
