Unit Overview:The Randallia ICU is a 12â€'bed critical care unit located on the main floor of Parkview Randallia, providing care for patients with moderate to high acuity needs. The unit serves a mixed population of ICU and progressiveâ€'level patients who require advanced monitoring, intensive medical management, and timely interventions for complex conditions. Care is delivered in a fastâ€'paced environment by a collaborative team that includes nurses and patient care technicians, with a strong emphasis on critical thinking, prioritization, and effective communication. The Randallia ICU supports a broad range of critical care needs while maintaining flexibility to manage patients across varying levels of acuity, ensuring safe, highâ€'quality, and patientâ€'centered care. Education Must have a HS Diploma or GED. If candidate is at least 17 years of age but does not yet have a current high school diploma/GED, the following requirements must be met: must be actively working towards high school diploma/GED and receive within 2 years of hire. Licensure/Certification Must obtain CPR certification within 60 days of hire. Experience Minimum of 1 year experience working in the patient care setting preferred, but not required. Other Qualifications Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to attend mandatory training days week of start. New Hire Orientation (Monday all day) and Patient Care Essentials/Epic (Tuesday-Thursday all day).
