Job Description:
Schedule: 36 hours/week; Shifts available 3:00pm - 11:30pm or 11:00pm - 7:30am, w/rotating weekends and holidays
- Supports nursing staff with patient care tasks.
- Maintains clean and orderly patient rooms.
- Aids with movement and placement of patients.
- Assists patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
- Reports findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Documents necessary records accurately and timely.
- Monitors and reports patient conditions.
- Ensures proper functioning and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Follows safety and infection control protocols.
- Participates in training and development activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Work Experience:
- 1+ applicable PCT experience
- Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience
Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS [Required]
- Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A [Required] OR
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA [Required] OR
- Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT [Required]
