A busy acute-care facility is seeking a compassionate and dependable Patient Care Technician to join its nursing support team. This role is responsible for providing hands-on patient support, assisting clinical staff, and helping maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming care environment.
The ideal candidate is patient-focused, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital or clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist patients with preparation, mobility, transfers, positioning, and comfort during care and recovery
Provide basic, non-medicated patient care, including hygiene support, dressing assistance, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
Monitor patients and promptly report changes in condition, behavior, or comfort level to nursing staff
Support nurses and clinical team members with routine patient care tasks
Keep patient rooms, hallways, and common areas clean, organized, and well-stocked
Manage supplies, equipment, and environmental logs to support infection control and safety standards
Follow facility procedures related to patient privacy, safety, documentation, and infection prevention
Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, nurses, and other healthcare team members
Help create a positive, professional, and compassionate patient care experience
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Active HIPAA compliance credential/ training required
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, BCLS/BLS, required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced acute-care or hospital environment

Preferred Qualifications
