Summary
Provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.
Required Certification
Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
Minimum Qualifications
You may qualify for the position through one of the following ways:
• 6 months acute care experience as a patient caregiver • 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience as a patient caregiver • Completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an RN or LPN program • Completion of a Baycare-approved Nurse Assistant PCT program Program must include a minimum of 40 hours OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSROOM clinical training
Education
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED may also qualify with a Certificate of Completion.
