Overview:

Sentara Obici Hospital is now hiring a Supervisor, Patient Care Services. The Supervisor, Nursing and Patient Care Services plays a key leadership role in the department, supporting the manager in overseeing patient care activity on their assigned nursing unit(s). They are responsible for ensuring high standards of care, coordinating daily nursing activities, and facilitating communication between medical teams. Assists with the training, mentoring, and performance evaluations of clinical staff.

Overview:

The Supervisor, Nursing and Patient Care Services is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the healthcare facility during their shift, ensuring high-quality patient care, safety, and staff efficiency. This position serves as the primary liaison between departments, providing leadership, direction, and support to nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers. The Supervisor is also tasked with coordinating patient flow, managing staffing levels, responding to emergencies, and addressing any operational issues that may arise throughout their shift.

Schedule: Full Time - Rotating

Education

Bachelors degree - Nursing (Required)

Certification/Licensure

Registered Nurse License (Required)

BLS and ACLS required within 90 days of hire

De-escelation and Physical Intervention Training (CPI) - required within 90 days of hire.

Experience

2 years of nursing experience (required)

1 year of nursing leadership (required)
