Patient Service Representative (PSR)

Pay Rate: $19/hr (Paid Weekly)
Location: 4921 Long Prairie Road
Flower Mound, TX 75028

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our healthcare team in Flower Mound, TX. This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in ensuring an exceptional patient experience. The PSR is responsible for managing front-office operations, including patient check-in, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, chart preparation, and payment collection while providing outstanding customer service.

Team Environment

The Patient Service Representative will work in a collaborative clinical setting alongside:

  • 2 Patient Service Representatives
  • 9 Clinical Staff Members
  • 5 Healthcare Providers

The team is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care through professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional front-office experience
  • Complete patient check-in and check-out processes accurately and efficiently
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and patient demographic information
  • Collect co-pays and other patient payments while maintaining accurate records
  • Prepare patient charts and ensure all documentation is complete prior to appointments
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling and general inquiries
  • Support providers and clinical staff with daily administrative and front-office functions
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Experience with appointment scheduling and insurance verification
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
  • Experience with EMR systems
  • Knowledge of insurance verification processes
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Empathetic, patient-focused, and team-oriented approach
