Patient Authorization and Referral Representative at Providence St. Lukes Rehabilitation Inst, Spokane WA

Under the general direction of the Supervisor or Manager, the Authorizations Representative - caregivers' primary duties revolve around authorizations, but may also perform a variety of tasks related to patient scheduling, pre-registration, and authorization/verification of benefits in a fast paced, ever changing environment. The Authorization Representative cultivates working relationships between Therapists, Practitioners, and Patients.

Required Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma or GED

1 year billing or insurance company experience.

1 year experience with authorizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Medical Coding and billing

1 year experience with patient scheduling.

EMR knowledge.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
