Atlantic Medical Imaging is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to join the team in the Corporate Office location. This position will focus on optimizing patient schedules throughout the AMI offices.
The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for optimizing resource schedules and ensuring the appropriate utilization of resources, while collaborating with other AMI departments and leaders. The Specialist effectively solves complex situations by analyzing issues, exercising sound judgment, and leveraging software tools to support timely and accurate resolution. This role requires the ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and function as a self starter, while delivering high-quality service and supporting all individuals throughout the scheduling process.

This full time, 40 hour per week position is based in AMI's Corporate Office location and is a fully on-site position. The work schedule includes Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm. Schedules are subject to change based on department needs.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates must have professional work experience with radiology scheduling or medical office scheduling. Strong computer & IT skills are required, with demonstrated experience working in medical IT platforms, EMR, and RIS systems. Candidates must also have experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and changing technologies.
This position involves managing a high volume of work while working towards defined goals and benchmarks pertaining to schedule optimization. Candidates must demonstrate the abilities to work as a self-starter and anticipate needs, working between various platforms, while maintaining a highly organized approach to their work. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills are required for success in this role. The ability to problem solve and develop creative solutions is necessary to be successful in this role.
