Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8-Hour Shifts Between 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Sigma Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Access Representative for an exciting temp-to-permanent opportunity in Jasper, TX. This role is ideal for candidates with healthcare registration, patient access, customer service, insurance verification, or medical office experience who enjoy helping patients while ensuring accurate registration and financial clearance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register and schedule patients while accurately entering demographic, guarantor, insurance, and financial information.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and obtain required authorizations.
  • Calculate and collect patient financial responsibility, including co-pays, deductibles, and prior balances.
  • Explain hospital forms and obtain required patient signatures.
  • Perform financial assessments for available assistance programs.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, families, physicians, nurses, insurance carriers, and third-party payers.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Support department workflow and assist with fluctuating patient volumes.
  • Participate in departmental training and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data entry standards.
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Accurate data entry and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • 1–3 years of Patient Access, Patient Registration, Medical Reception, Healthcare Customer Service, Medical Office, Insurance Verification, or Hospital Registration experience.
  • Experience with insurance authorization, eligibility verification, and collections.
  • Knowledge of healthcare registration processes and patient financial services.
