Job Description
Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee's Summitis seekinga Patient Access Representativeto join our team. You willconduct professional patient interviews, obtaining demographic, financial, and biographical information. This positionis responsible forthe delivery of quality performance and service excellence.
PRN Position Requirements:Commitment to working a minimum of 24 hours per month is required, which may include days, nights, and/or weekends. 4 on-call overnight shifts per month, with a 9-week rotation for weekend on-call and must work one major and one minor holiday per year.
Responsibilities:
Understands insurance terminology
Obtains information to appropriately bill payors
Verifies patientinsurance eligibility
Confirms benefits eligibility
Gather statistical information in compliance with federal and state regulations
Completes payment transactions by using proper negotiating techniques to professional collect money owed by our Patients and Guarantors
Makes referrals toappropriate financialresources, such as payment plans and lines of credit
