We are seeking a Patient Access Representative to support a smooth, accurate, and welcoming experience for patients and visitors. This role plays a key part in patient admission, registration, insurance verification, and scheduling, ensuring every interaction is efficient and compliant with financial and insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately collect, analyze, and record demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical data in the system, ensuring all required documentation is complete.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of insurance plans and verification processes.
  • Answer and route phone calls professionally, take accurate messages.
  • Educate patients on financial obligations, including point of service (POS) collections and estimates.
  • Assist with patient self-service registration processes.
  • Monitor and manage multiple work queues to ensure timely workflow.
  • Refer patients who need financial assistance with their clinical/hospital bills to a Financial Advocate.
  • Schedule walk-in procedures and collaborate with central scheduling regarding other needs.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least two years of customer service or healthcare-related experience is preferred.
