We are seeking a Patient Access Representative for a local contract opportunity at a hospital located in Claremore, OK.

Responsibilities
Patient Registration: Greet patients upon arrival, collect personal and insurance information, and input data into the electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Insurance Verification: Contact insurance providers to confirm patient coverage and benefits, documenting findings and communicating any discrepancies to patients and healthcare providers.
Appointment Scheduling: Manage the scheduling of patient appointments, including follow-ups and referrals, to optimize the appointment calendar and minimize wait times.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism, acting as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain patient admission and discharge documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, handling billing inquiries, and maintaining organized patient records.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Experience in a clerical or administrative position is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communications skills to interact effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals
Strong empathy and patient to assist patients who may be in distress or facing health issues
Ability to manage patient records, appointment schedules, and billing information
Familiarity with medical software and computer systems for patient registration, appointment scheduling, and record - keeping
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and compliance with regulations
Job Specifics
$15 Per Hour
Cherokee Nation citizens will receive priority interviews for the first week
Weekly guarantee of hours
Schedule: Night Shift 7pm - 7am. This would be a rotating schedule. Schedule to include every other weekend. May be eligible for some overtime
