Pathologist Physician

Title: Pathologist Physician
Location: Milwaukee, WI

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide professional services in Anatomic and Surgical Pathology.

• Meet turnaround time requirements for surgical pathology and other cases per VHA policy.

• Ensure compliance with standards of CAP, TJC, FDA, AABB, and VHA Pathology procedures.

• Document care directly into the VAs electronic health record systems (VISTA/CPRS).

• Apply specialized knowledge and skills to deliver Veteran-centered pathology care.

• Participate in departmental quality assurance and performance improvement programs.

• Contribute to interdisciplinary case reviews and clinical team meetings as required.

• Be available for on-call consultation as defined by service needs.

Qualifications & Administrative

Education & Experience

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Board certification in Anatomic Pathology (ABPATH/ASCP).
• Minimum of five years of recent experience (within the past three years).

• Full and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. State, Territory, or D.C.
• Credentialing and privileges approved by the Milwaukee VAMC.

• Proficient in written/spoken English (38 Client 7402).
• Computer literate; able to use VISTA/CPRS systems for patient records.
