A highly respected Southeastern law firm is seeking a Senior Patent Transactions Attorney with deep experience in sophisticated, patent‑driven deal work. You will lead patent acquisitions, licensing deals, technology transfers, and IP‑centric corporate transactions while collaborating with accomplished attorneys across Corporate, Finance, and Regulatory practices. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and negotiate complex patent acquisitions, licensing deals, and IP monetization strategies.
- Advise on IP components of financial services transactions and sophisticated M&A matters.
- Draft and negotiate agreements involving patent rights, technology transfers, and commercial IP arrangements.
- Provide strategic guidance on regulatory compliance and corporate structuring in IP‑centric deals.
- Partner with cross‑disciplinary legal teams on high‑value transactional matters.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school; Top 50 preferred.
- 3–8 years of transactional experience focused on patent acquisitions, licensing, and IP‑driven deals.
- Background from an Am Law 200 firm or respected regional firm known for sophisticated transactional work.
- Licensed in North Carolina or eligible for admission.
- Advanced drafting and negotiation experience with patent and technology agreements.
- Experience structuring IP components of M&A and financial services transactions.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and client‑facing advisory experience.

- Salary range: $290,000–$360,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
