Department Overview
This position is part of the health care team and utilizes her/his knowledge and expertise to support and enhance safety, patient experience, communications and efficiency on the Labor & Delivery Unit. The Patient Access Service Specialist, under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, performs general non-clinical duties and specific services necessary to expedite the efficient functioning of the nursing unit consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures in the nursing department and OHSU. The PAS provides problem solving and performance improvement assistance on the nursing unit. This position supports OHSU's mission by providing high quality customer service to OHSU health care providers and staff that meets or exceeds the service standards of the health care industry.

Associate or bachelor''s degree in business or other health care related field
Previous Obstetric experience
OHSU work experience
Experience using Epic Care systems
Fluent in Spanish Preferred
