    Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Parts ID Specialist, based out of our Avon, Indiana.

    The purpose of this position is to provide critical informational support to the Americas dealers, customers and queries from internal Hyster-Yale interests that includes, but is not limited to, parts identification and field modifications. The person in this position is responsible to communicate corrections and additions of data to the technical publications group via feedback requests through Contact Management. The position directly contributes to the sale of units, aftermarket parts and accessories.

    The Parts I.D. function fills a critical need, as the only point of solution to maintain customer and dealer satisfaction. Without this mission focus HYMH will see sales, profits and customer base erosion. This position must respond in a timely manner to 2,600 +/- requests per month to satisfy the informational needs and respond to truck down situations or pending sales. Research to acquire the correct information is considerably extensive and complex. This position must be able to decipher information given by dealers and apply common sense along with product knowledge to respond quickly and accurately to parts identification requests.

    • You are customer-focused and understand the importance of providing timely, high-quality responses that support dealer and customer needs.
    • You are resourceful and confident working independently, able to make sound decisions even when information may be incomplete or unclear.
    • You are organized and process-driven, with the ability to maintain and navigate technical documentation and records efficiently.
    • You have a continuous improvement mindset and take initiative to identify errors, gaps, or inconsistencies, helping improve overall processes and documentation.

    What you will do:

    • Provide parts identification to dealers and customers. Requires research into historical truck records, Parts and Service bulletins, technical publications, engineering and manufacturing bills-of-material, engineering drawings and documents, truck sales databases in the US and Europe (NOMS) and US and European manufacturing databases.
    • Provide bills-of materials and technical information to facilitate dealer installation of field modifications.
    • Maintain technical publications libraries and online files of parts, service and engineering documents for research purposes.
    • Provide correctional feedback to technical publications centers.

    What you will need:

    • B.S. or Technical degree preferred or experience as stated below.
    • 4-6 years of relevant discipline preferred or education as stated above.
