Parts Data Management Analyst II
 
Major Purpose
 
Develops BOM (bills of material) structures and analyzes Part Data inputs from engineering functional areas such as product design or manufacturing engineering to support successful implementation of new products and product updates for a specific manufacturing unit. At this level individuals are working independently with limited guidance from more senior employees or their manager. Work completed by individuals at this level is expanded to include more functional teams or full product structure depending on size and product(s) being supported at the manufacturing unit they are supporting.Major Duties? Support others by carrying out a range of product development and engineering activities, such as analyzing client situations or interpreting data.? Develop testing standards and procedures under the direction of professional colleagues.? Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional inquiries. Involves following procedures and precedents.? Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.? Draft and maintain basic technical and/or user documentation to a high standard, and create backup files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.? Prepare moderately complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for reports.? Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.? Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.Skills, Abilities, Knowledge ? Uses an understanding of numerical concepts to perform mathematical operations such as report analysis without supervision and provides technical guidance when required. ? Uses clear and effective verbal communications skills without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on expressing ideas, requesting actions and formulating plans or policies. ? Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to achieve full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in management and/or operations. ? Works with full competence to shift into and out of a mental mindsets associated with assessing the facts and circumstances of the current situation and/or environment and making the appropriate/innovative adjustments to thinking and work habits to thrive in any scenario. Works with full competence to analyze potential solutions and create recommendations based on the expected benefits, costs, and overall value of the solution for key stakeholders. Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required to orient the seller's organization around delivering to the key needs of their customers.? Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required to?explore the depth and breadth of a problem, draw out the implications of not changing, and help clients self-Client and articulate the value of a solution.? Works with full competence to conduct gap analysis between current and future states to identify components of the overall change strategy.
