A respected civil litigation firm is looking to add a partner-level attorney with substantive experience in insurance coverage litigation to their growing team. The firm has a strong collaborative culture and is looking for someone who can hit the ground running while also thriving within a team environment. Hybrid options are available after initial training and integration, though candidates must reside within reasonable proximity to the Atlanta office.
What they're looking for:
12+ years of practice experience in insurance coverage litigation and/or general litigation
Partner-level experience and the ability to manage a sophisticated caseload with autonomy
Active Georgia bar license in good standing
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced litigation environment
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills — you will interact regularly with paralegals, legal assistants, clients, opposing counsel, and courts
Initiative, a willingness to learn, and comfort working both independently and collaboratively within a team structure
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and case recommendations
Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals and legal assistants as appropriate
Prepare discovery responses and manage document production
Attend depositions, hearings, and discovery events, providing thorough reporting
Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare cases for trial as necessary
Maintain regular, proactive communication with support staff and team members
