They are seeking a Partner-level attorney to support the strategic expansion of its New York City office.
This is a high-impact growth opportunity for an experienced attorney with a portable book of business who is interested in helping build and scale the firm’s East Coast presence within a nationally recognized platform.

We are on the hunt for a dynamic, seasoned, and highly motivated Partner specializing in Insurance Coverage and Professional Liability to join our esteemed legal team. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our firm. This is a permanent position that offers a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving practice, work with top-tier clients, and grow your practice in a supportive and stimulating environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Partner in Insurance Coverage and Professional Liability, you will:

1. Provide top-notch legal advice and representation to a diverse clientele on matters relating to insurance coverage, professional liability, and construction litigation.
2. Lead trial preparation and litigation processes, ensuring the delivery of exceptional legal services.
3. Leverage your expertise in D&O and E&O insurance services.
4. Develop and maintain your book of business, demonstrating a commitment to client service and business development.
5. Collaborate closely with other partners and associates to ensure the firm's strategic goals are met.
6. Stay abreast of developments in insurance law and related fields, and use this knowledge to inform and enhance your practice.
7. Mentor junior associates, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster their professional growth.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 500k in portable business
3. A proven track record as a Partner, or proven ability and book to transition into a Partner role.
4. Significant experience in professional defense, with a particular focus on D&O and E&O insurance services.
5. A substantial portable business, demonstrating a proven ability to attract and retain clients.
6. Comprehensive knowledge of insurance law, and a commitment to staying informed about developments in the field.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
8. Strong leadership skills, with a commitment to mentoring junior associates and contributing to the firm's strategic direction.
9. Admission to the NY State Bar.
