Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Partner Attorney, you will be responsible for leading our Labor & Employment practice group. You will handle complex employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination cases.

Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

1. Representing employers in court and before administrative bodies in all aspects of employment litigation.
2. Providing strategic and practical legal advice to clients on a wide range of labor and employment issues.
3. Conducting and managing all phases of discovery, including depositions.
4. Preparing and arguing motions, conducting trials, and engaging in post-trial work.
5. Counseling clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
6. Developing and delivering training to clients on various labor and employment topics.
7. Participating in business development activities to grow the firm’s Labor & Employment practice.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Partner Attorney position will have:

1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Massachusetts Bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a focus on management-side representation.
4. Proven trial and litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and conducting trials.
5. Strong experience with employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination cases.
6. Experience as a principal, practice group leader, shareholder, partner, or in a similar leadership role within a legal firm.
7. Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
8. Strong interpersonal and client management skills.
9. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
10. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. A commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards.
