Summary:
The Recreation Receptionist will perform a variety of general office, clerical and secretarial duties. S/he will provide administrative support to the recreation staff and provide a positive first impression to visitors to the Recreation Center.
Responsibilities:
- Opening shift for Zeeland Recreation on Mon, Tue and Fri (4:30 am - 8:00 am).
- Check people in to the gym, classes, pool, etc.
- Provide a positive first impression to visitors to the Recreation Center.
- Answer incoming calls and assist callers.
- Process registration for all Zeeland Recreation programs.
- Assist secretaries and full-time staff with tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree with related work experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- Empathy, compassion, servant's heart, problem solver.
- Computer and word processing expertise is required, as well as knowledge regarding general office machines and equipment.
Schedule:
- Hours Per Week: 10-15 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
- Mon, Tue, Fri: 4:30 am-8:00 am
- Optional - Saturday: 7:30 am-12 pm or 9am-4pm (1-2 per month) *Not required to work Saturdays, but it is an option for the person that accepts the job
Compensation:
- Recreation Level I: $14.31 - $16.76 per hour
- Starting rate will depend on years of relative work experience
