Position: Part-time Professional Lab Assistant for Dental Assisting
Location: Athens Campus
Department: Division of Life Sciences & Public Safety
Reports to: Program Chair for Dental Programs & Divisional Academic Dean
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. No State of Georgia benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain familiarity with college goals, mission, and long-term plans.
- Contribute to planning and development processes.
- Participate in recruitment and retention of students in both programs.
- Attend required staff meetings and serve on staff committees.
- Evaluate dental assisting curriculum and educational activities.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media.
- Regularly evaluate student achievement and provide student feedback.
- Assist clinical coordinator with clinic supply; tracking and stocking.
- Supervise and instruct dental assisting students during clinic.
- Has full and complete access to patient medical/dental records where HIPAA policy and procedures are required to safeguard the patient, facility, and/or employee.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in communication with students, administrators, faculty & staff.
