This daytime role offers the opportunity to practice at the top of your license, partner closely with physicians, and contribute meaningfully to patient outcomes across the continuum of care.
In this position, you will provide comprehensive inpatient care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of assigned patients. The role emphasizes a team-based model, with opportunities to support care coordination, patient education, and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including histories, physical exams, and medical record review
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
Write and manage medical orders, including medications and diagnostics
Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in clinical status to the care team
Coordinate care across settings, including admissions, discharges, and transitions of care
Interpret diagnostic and laboratory results and adjust management plans accordingly
Provide patient and family education and support
Participate in rapid response/emergent situations as needed
Support team workflow, patient throughput, and overall care delivery
Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
Board certified and licensed in the state of Maryland (or eligible)
Prior inpatient or hospital medicine experience preferred
This position has a hiring range of :
USD $115,000.00 - USD $143,619.00 /Yr.
