Job Summary

The Temporary Part-Time Payroll Assistant supports payroll operations, facility reservations, and general administrative functions to ensure efficient daily operations of the department and college.

Responsibilities

PAYROLL SUPPORT

Assist with processing bi-weekly and monthly payroll.

Review timesheets and payroll documents for accuracy.

Maintain payroll records.

Respond to payroll-related inquires.

FACILITIES COORDINATION

Coordinate internal and external facility reservations.

Maintain reservation calendars and scheduling records.

Communicate facility use procedures and requirements to stakeholders.

Work with campus departments to support events setup and logistics.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

Provide general clerical and administrative support.

Maintain files, records and office documentation.

Assist with reports, correspondence, and special projects.

Answer phones and assist visitors.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.

Other Required Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Required Experience

Experience in Payroll, Bookkeeping, or Administrative Support.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of confidentiality practices related to employee and payroll records.

Knowledge of USG payroll procedures and OneUSG functionalities.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Understanding of general office and administrative procedures.

SKILLS

Experience in payroll processes, timekeeping, and payroll deadlines.

Understanding of customer service principles and professional communication.
