Position Overview
The Part-Time Non-Credit Instructor teaches development courses.
What you will be doing
• Prepares and distributes course outline / syllabi to students • Teaches lecture and laboratory sections relating to culinary subject matter • Maintains accurate attendance records • Develops teaching and learning strategies that optimize student performance • Develops recipes, menus and curriculum • Complies with department and College policies and procedures • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from a regionally accredited institution and professional experience in academic and/or professional expertise in corresponding field • State Certification where applicable • Prior experience teaching adult learners • Excellent communication skills • Ability to work during class times • Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and some weekend assignments
