Part-Time Medical Fax Management Clerk Job Summary:The Fax Management Clerk is responsible for organizing, reviewing, and processing incoming fax documents to ensure accurate and timely distribution within the organization. This role supports office efficiency by maintaining a clear and organized fax system and ensuring important documents are properly routed and documented. Key Responsibilities:- Review fax documents for completeness, accuracy, and relevance
- Sort and distribute faxes to appropriate departments or personnel
- Scan, upload, and index faxed documents into electronic systems (EHR/EMR or shared drives)
- Ensure proper labeling and documentation of all processed faxes
- Identify urgent or time-sensitive documents and prioritize accordingly
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and privacy regulations
- Communicate with staff regarding missing or unclear information on faxes
- Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous administrative or clerical experience preferred
- Familiarity with office equipment (fax machines, scanners, copiers)
- Basic computer skills, including file management and data entry
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems is a plus
