Position Overview
This is a laboratory-based, part-time position supporting the development of new and replacement adhesive products. The role focuses on preparing laboratory-scale adhesive formulations, executing testing plans, collecting and analyzing data, and maintaining accurate records. This position is onsite and requires 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and mix laboratory-scale adhesive formulations using various types of mixing equipment.
  • Execute testing plans for product development projects, following customer specifications and internal test methods.
  • Perform routine and non-routine laboratory tests with limited supervision.
  • Set up, calibrate, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot testing equipment.
  • Read and use dial calipers, micrometers, and other standard shop measuring tools.
  • Collect, analyze, and document test data accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Enter data into laboratory management systems, databases, and test reports.
  • Prepare reports, graphs, and charts to summarize experimental findings.
  • Apply mathematical and statistical calculations to support testing and data analysis.
  • Produce reliable, repeatable results for assigned projects.
  • Suggest process improvements, efficiency ideas, and recommendations to enhance procedures.
  • Follow proper storage, handling, and disposal procedures for hazardous materials.
  • Maintain compliance with SHE and 5S guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of college chemistry or related science coursework.
  • Previous laboratory experience is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Experience using laboratory tools and equipment such as mixing equipment, lab glassware, testing machines, and standard lab tools.
  • Ability to manipulate, graph, and report experimental data.
  • Experience working in a team environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
