Our core values: Integrity, Resiliency, Accountability, Curiosity, and Collaboration.Job Summary:The Part-Time Kitchen Server/Professional Shopper is responsible for performing the tasks of the kitchen server and other supporting roles where business needs arise, including a back-up for the role of Procurement (Professional Shopper).Kitchen Server Responsibilities:Attending on-site pre-study briefings at the beginning of each shiftBecome familiar with testing guidelines at start of each shift/job by thoroughly reading and comprehending the execution instructionsSetting-up of testing area before fielding and breaking-down testing area at study completionEnsuring booth computer equipment is working for consumersServing correct products, following sequence as indicated in project instructions and on RedJade serving console (or other data collection platform), and as directed by Test SupervisorCleaning and sanitizing consumer areas after each session, resetting for next sessionDistributing product packages for consumers to evaluate for home use tests, if applicableAssisting in various kitchen duties as assigned by Test Supervisor, including labeling serving vessels, monitoring serving supplies and restocking as needed, pre-portioning products, or assisting with storing productAny other tasks as assigned by Test Supervisor, Testing Operations Manager, or Facility DirectorQualifications for Kitchen Server:Clear and professional verbal communication skillsAbility to work in groups, coordinating activities effectivelyFlexibility to adjust to last minute changes in schedule or work assignmentStrong attention to detailAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to read and understand instructions both written and via computerStrict attention to client confidentialityCustomer service experience strongly preferredRestaurant serving experience a plusServSafe certification required after successful completion of first three months of employmentProfessional Shopper Responsibilities:Pre-ordering, shopping, and picking up consumer test products at local grocery stores and onlineInteracting and building professional relationships with grocery store managers or other procurement suppliersMaintaining product integrity during delivery to Curion (coolers, blue ice packs, dry ice)Handling special procurement requests, such as matching date codes, lot codes, or package size requirementsKeeping detailed notes of items while shopping (ex: dates found at specific stores)Notifying Test Supervisor, Testing Operations Manager, or Inventory Technician (where applicable) when product is delivered to ensure timely attention to updating storage labels, labeling product with J# or P#, and proper storageEnsuring Test Supervisor, Testing Operations Manager, or Inventory Technician (where applicable) follow product storage requirements as related to refrigeration or freezingSafeguarding corporate credit card or debit cardEntering receipts and mileage into expense reimbursement software on same day of purchaseSubmitting evidence of current driver's license and auto insurance periodically as new or updated cards are issued and communicate with supervisor if driving privileges become revoked/suspendedAssisting kitchen team with field technician duties if needed and time permitsOther tasks as requested by supervisorQualifications for Professional Shopper:Ability to use the internet to research consumer productsArticulate, professional, and responsibleSuccessfully pass credit and background checks to be issued a company credit cardOrganized with exceptional communication skillsComfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasksReliable vehicleValid driver's license with good driving record subject to driving record check and auto insurance that meets state requirementsAttention to detailFlexible schedule (including potential evenings and weekends, when needed)Food safety knowledge is a plusServSafe Food Handler Certification by end of first three months of employmentBeginner-level experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basisAbility to lift up to 40 pounds on occasion, preferredSignificant amount of walking and drivingFor the Part-Time Kitchen Server/Professional Shopper position in Irving, Texas, Curion offers a starting hourly pay rate of $17.00–$18.00 , depending on each candidate's qualifications and experience. This is a part-time, non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable laws.
