Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the HR Manager, the HR Coordinator supports key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee event planning, and basic employee relations. This role demands strong attention to detail, proficiency in MS Office Suite, and the ability to work independently while managing confidential information with discretion and fostering effective working relationships across the organization.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately prepare and maintain files, records, forms, and
  • spreadsheets.
  • Capable of working both independently and within a team while exercising discretion and judgment with confidential employee and personnel information.
  • Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with employees, supervisors, and cross-functional teams while providing professional, approachable HR support across the plant.
  • Skilled in organizing work, setting priorities, and completing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite software

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Processes HR applications, including employment and enrollment forms.
  • Conduct pre-employment screening interviews, check references, and respond to routine HR
  • policy inquiries.
  • Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal
  • procedures and regulations.
  • Audits and maintains employee files to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Maintains and verifies I-9 documentation and E-Verify process.
  • Provides administrative support across various HR functions, such as recruiting, employee

relations, training, and equal employment opportunity.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of HR practices or coursework in HR is a plus
  • Experience supporting hourly recruiting (applications, scheduling, onboarding) preferred
