About Our Family

We are an active family of four based in Denver, with two children (ages 8 and 9) and a friendly dog. With one parent working from home and the other traveling frequently, we're seeking a thoughtful, capable house manager who enjoys being part of a well-run household and values working in close partnership with a family.

Our home life spans both our primary residence in Denver and a mountain home (Tabernash, CO), creating a dynamic environment that benefits from strong organization, foresight, and follow-through. Afternoons are lively and kid-centered, and this role blends meaningful engagement with our children alongside ownership of the systems and routines that keep everything running smoothly.

We deeply value calm competence, initiative, and emotional intelligence. The right person will bring order to busy days, anticipate needs before they arise, and help our household feel grounded, connected, and supported through daily rhythms and seasonal transitions.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You're someone who thrives in a trusted role, values long-term relationships, and enjoys making a meaningful impact on a family's day-to-day life. In return, you'll be welcomed as a respected member of our household team—given autonomy, appreciation, and the opportunity to truly own this role.

Our ideal candidate is:

  • A highly organized, proactive professional who takes pride in creating structure, flow, and ease within a household
  • Comfortable working independently and making thoughtful decisions, while also collaborating closely with a hands-on family
  • Naturally steady, warm, and solutions-oriented—even during high-energy afternoons
  • Skilled at moving between child-focused support and behind-the-scenes household management
  • Confident managing logistics such as transportation, scheduling, and shared calendars to stay one step ahead
  • Comfortable around pets and confident behind the wheel
  • Brings an active, engaged energy; experience supporting children with learning differences is a plus

Key Responsibilities

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Create and maintain household organization systems (closets, storage areas, pantry, and shared family spaces)
  • Reset and tidy common areas daily, maintain overall neatness (load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas); ensure home is prepped for regular cleaning services, to maintain a calm, functional home environment
  • Lead seasonal organization projects, including space resets and clothing, décor, and bedding rotations
  • Prepare the home for family events, holidays, birthdays, and guest visits
  • Help anticipate upcoming needs by referencing the family calendar and preparing in advance
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop offs and pick ups
  • Support packing/unpacking for travel (for kids) or seasonal transitions

  • Receive and manage household deliveries, including package pickup, mail sorting, and returns

Meal Planning & Preparation

  • Provide occasional dinner or evening meal support as needed
  • Assist with packing children's camp lunches during the summer months
  • Shop for groceries and meal-related items in alignment with family preferences and dietary needs

  • Clean humidifiers, washing machines, and air purifiers monthly
  • Organize special projects: storage, seasonal decorations, gear rotation
