Seeking a dependable Part-Time Greenhouse Technician to support operations in a teaching and production greenhouse focused on aquaponics, hydroponics, and sustainable agriculture.
Work involves routine plant care, assisting with aquaculture and aquaponics system setup, monitoring water quality, and supporting student and public interactions. The role requires working primarily on-site Friday to Monday, up to 30 hours weekly, including weekends, in varying greenhouse conditions.
Responsibilities include plant maintenance, system installation, equipment checks, water monitoring, safety adherence, and maintaining a clean environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred qualifications include experience in agriculture, biology, or environmental science, and prior greenhouse or aquaculture experience. Community college students are encouraged to apply.
