Job Summary
This position provides friendly and efficient customer service while preparing and serving food and beverage items in a safe and sanitary manner. Responsible for operating point-of-sale systems, processing transactions, maintaining cleanliness and inventory levels, assisting with opening and closing procedures, and supporting daily concession operations to ensure a positive guest experience.
Essential Job Functions

This position has responsibilities that require lifting up to 10 pounds on occasion.
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Prepare and serve food and beverage items according to established procedures.
- Operate cash register and process cash, credit card, and other transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of concession stands, counters, equipment, and dining areas.
- Restock food, beverages, condiments, and supplies as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisor of low stock items.
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and securing the stand.
- Respond to customer questions and resolve minor customer concerns courteously.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations.
- Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required.
- All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may qualify. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: Some food and beverage or customer service experience preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older to serve alcohol.
- Licenses: Valid Driver's License required. Ability to obtain and maintain TABC and Food Handler certifications if required by assignment.
For city employees who are regular part time (10-19 hours per week) or seasonal hired placed on City payroll, the following benefits are provided:
- PARS - Public Agency Retirement System: the employee contributes 6.2% each paycheck to this retirement system and the city provides 1.3%. The employee does not pay into Social Security. All of the employees contributions may be withdrawn upon separating service from the city. The Citys contributions will not be paid unless the employee retires under the system.
- Part time or seasonal employees are not eligible for any paid leave or other benefits.
- Part time or seasonal employees are limited to working only 1,000 hours per 12-month period, unless the seasonal is project based for a specific period of time which is typically less than 12-months.
