The School of Architecture seeks a part-time instructor to teach a 3-credit course on professional practice during the Fall (M/W, 2:15-3:35p; 3:45-5:05) and Spring (TBD) semesters. The course is a requirement for undergraduate and graduate students in their final year.
The expected salary range for this position is $7,500 - $9,000 for this 3-credit hour course. Qualifications
Candidates must have extensive professional architectural design practice experience and a record of recognized built work.
Candidates with strong intellectual and creative direction, in pursuit of innovative and progressive models of professional practice are encouraged to apply.
Candidates must be prepared to teach required content such as firm legal structure, business development, branding and identity, financial management, fee structure, contracts, project management and delivery, ethics, etc.
The School is particularly interested in candidates with teaching experience in an accredited professional architecture degree program.

Responsibilities
Those of a part-time faculty member with a teaching load of 3-credits including:
Developing a syllabus for ARC 585 that incorporates topics including, but not limited to, architect-client relations, legal and financial aspects of practice, business planning and ethics, project delivery and contracts, professional services, etc.
Preparation of lectures, projects, or other assignments
Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours
Meeting all designated class periods
Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course
Submitting final grades according to university regulations
Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner
Building a positive rapport with students
