Job Summary
The Evergreen State College seeks a part-time adjunct faculty member for the 26-27 academic year with broad training and experience in linguistically and culturally responsive early childhood education who is interested in teaching in a collaborative, liberal arts context using a student-centered approach. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with students from underserved populations, and whose teaching emphasizes applied, critical, interdisciplinary, and social justice-oriented approaches to early childhood education. The successful candidate will collaboratively teach a 5-credit early childhood education course each quarter at The Evergreen State College-Tacoma campus undergraduate program using a dual language (Spanish-English) approach.Fall 2026

Job Expectations
The faculty member will team teach a five-credit early childhood education course using a Spanish-English dual language approach. Faculty are generally responsible for evaluating 25 students per quarter, though their team-taught class may include up to 50 students. This arrangement allows for in-depth, interdisciplinary, and experiential learning, and the building of strong learning communities. pathway of study.

Salary Information
$4637-$10542 per quarter at 0.3125 FTE (e.g. $7955 per quarter at median EY of 20 for recent adjunct hires). Faculty membership is unranked with salary determined on a non-competitive, open scale based on earned degrees and years of relevant experience.
