This position performs diversified clerical tasks of a confidential nature including processing invoices, handling correspondence, electronic filing, compiling documents, data entry, interacting with Town departments, the public, and providing staff support to the Facilities Division.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of secretarial tasks and procedures. Ability to use computer. Ability to work independently on a variety of assignments. Ability to handle confidential information. Ability to handle difficult and varied situations with employees and/or the public. Ability to learn department policies, practices, and operations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and the public.
Minimum Training & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing clerical or secretarial tasks. Experience using common computer software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Knowledge of Munis (financial software) preferred. Knowledge of webpage software helpful.
