We are the Preferred Staffing Provider for the Greater Greensboro Society of Medicine. Temp-To-Hire Starting out with part-time hours with the opportunity to go full-time if you'd like 25 Hours per week Pay: $18-20 Benefits offered by APR: Medical, Dental, Term Life, Short-Term Disability, Holiday Pay, Service Bonus, and Direct Deposit Responsibilities for Medical Assistant Obtains patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality. Obtains and documents health history, information on chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors and assesses disease condition. Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations. Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned that may include setting up instruments and equipment according to office protocols; cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; ordering, sorting, storing supplies; and restocking exam/procedure rooms. Fulfills clinical medical assisting responsibilities, which may include checking vital signs; physical examination preparations; drug administration through various routes including injections; prescription verifications with physician’s orders; minor procedure assists including procedure tray set-up pre/post surgical care, applying dressings, and suture removal; specimen handling such as urine, vaginal. Provides coverage for other team members in times of absences. Participates in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes. Tracks quality assurance data and monitors for acute and chronic care management. Demonstrates courteous behavior towards all co-workers and maintains a positive guest relations approach with patients and patients’ families. Maintains open and positive lines of communication Utilizes proper chain of command Maintains emotional control and diplomacy at all times Uses verbal and non-verbal communication in a pleasant, professional manner. Communicates only factual information to employees, patients and physicians to avoid misunderstandings and undue stress. Other duties as assigned.
