Part-time Job Announcement
Position: Part-time Campus Police Officer
Location: Elbert Campus
Department: Division of Student Affairs
Reports to: Chief of Police and the Vice President for Student Affairs
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. No State of Georgia benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Patrol the campus and buildings on foot and/or in a vehicle in order to deter crime, provide safety, security and assistance to students, staff and visitors on campus.
- Enforce traffic and parking regulations.
- Investigate disturbances, suspicious circumstances, traffic accidents or violation of college regulations when prompted by phone calls, alarms, citizens' requests, or officers' observations.
- Talk with individuals to determine causes of disturbances or accidents.
- Take reports and accurately complete forms to record incidents.
- Direct traffic at campus events using barricades, traffic cones, traffic vests, and flashlights.
- Must be familiar with the campus safety manual and be able to address emergencies on campus.
- Participate in training activities.
- Work closely with the Athens Technical College Police Chief, Police Supervisor, Campus Administrators and Security Officers.
- Perform related work as assigned.
