The Panther Group is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Part-Time Cafeteria Assistant to support daily cafeteria operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked cafeteria.

This position combines cashiering, customer service, stocking, and general cafeteria support to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
What You’ll Do
  • Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
  • Operate the cash register accurately, including cash and credit transactions
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer and follow proper cash handling procedures
  • Restock food, beverages, utensils, and cafeteria supplies throughout the day
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies are running low
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures when stocking and rotating food items
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of:
    • Cafeteria serving areas
    • Dining spaces
    • Storage areas
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including station setup and breakdown
  • Support team operations as needed
What You Bring
  • Previous food service, cafeteria, retail, or cashier experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic math and cash handling abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
  • Dependable, team-oriented mindset
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and carrying
  • Comfortable working in warm kitchen or cafeteria conditions
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Entry-level candidates welcome; on-the-job training provided

Pay is $17-$18 per hour DOE
