Part-Time Cafeteria Assistant

Indiana Campus

1 Position is 11.5 hours/week Mon 8:00 - 1:30 Wednesday and Friday 10:30-13:00

Job Description

Scope: This position is responsible for the timely preparation of food to be served, complying with applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards, and following established food production programs and procedures. Ensure appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss and waste.

Qualifications

The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:

A strong, clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith

The ideal candidate shall:

Possess proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills Have the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures Complete requirements for in-service training and dress code requirements Have a servants heart Have a willingness to learn

Accountabilities

Responsibilities:

Maintain skills necessary to safely and efficiently operate cafeteria equipment and machines Preparation of food served using established production procedures and guidelines Store food properly and safely by dating items Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance Learn all details of each position in the cafeteria Maintain cleanliness and follow all Health Department guidelines

Outcomes

Efficiently operates cafeteria equipment and machines Follows established rules and guidelines pertaining to food preparation Maintains personal health and sanitation standards according to State and Federal guidelines

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 40 pounds Constant bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time

Reporting Relationship

The cafeteria assistant is responsible to the Cafeteria Manager.
