What youll do on a typical day This evening, bilingual (Spanish and English) Automotive Systems Technology instructor position will teach a 2-night a week, from 6pm to 9pm class of up to 20 students who are learning English as a second language along with coordinating online content and activities for the class to complete in Moodle on their own time. This part-time position will be responsible for designing and implementing learning strategies for students; developing course syllabi and instructional materials; maintaining instructional records; maintaining a safe learning environment; communicating equipment, and supply needs; and other duties which support the mission and initiatives of the College. This position reports directly to the Director of Community Engagement. The position has the following responsibilities: Promotes College mission, values, and vision Evaluates student progress and provides appropriate feedback Develops course syllabi and provides appropriate written information to students concerning course evaluation and criteria Carries out a program of self-evaluation to determine instructional effectiveness Explores, assesses, and implements appropriate instructional technology to enhance student learning outcomes Assists in the evaluation of courses and programs Prepares and submits instructional records, reports, and grades established by institutional policy Assists in student recruitment and retention Maintains appropriate accessibility for students, faculty and staff Participates in professional development to enhance instructional and technical skills Performs other tasks as assigned which support the mission and initiatives of the College Your attributes Position Qualifications Required:Associates Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Automotive, Heavy Equipment or related field with a minimum of 3 years related work experience.Bilingual in Spanish and English is required for this position.This position is for evening classes.
