The Assistant is tentatively scheduled to work Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:00 pm, but hours are subject to change based on the needs of the program. In addition, there are some evening and the occasional Saturday that events and/or training sessions take place that will require attendance.

The Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food and kitchen supplies, basic food preparation tasks, such as portioning meal ingredients while adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

  • Assist with the food preparation and delivery of breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily to classrooms following meal delivery guidelines and meal times and maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, surfaces, and equipment, while also maintaining the sanitary preparation of the food delivery carts. This will also include disposing of waste and emptying trash bins regularly.
  • Perform the duties of the Nutritional Associate as needed in their absence and regularly support and meet with the Nutritional Associate, Director, and/or management team to ensure the smooth operation of daily activities.
  • Assists in record keeping and inventory management of the kitchen as needed. Participate in required training hours to maintain up to date job requirements and skills.

Hourly Rate: $10.00
